There is currently NO organization that represents the part of you that is the OWNER of a small business, the OWNER of an Animal Hospital.

Although AAHA and the AVMA touch upon the issues of the challenges of owning an Animal Hospital in the 21st Century, no organization truly represents YOU, the owner, facing the the corporate behemoths that now dot our landscape.

What Happened to Our Letter Writing Campaign?

The Attorney General of the State of Florida has served AVHO with papers letting us know that they have begun an investigation against AVHO for possible ANTI-TRUST practices. We had initiated a letter writing campaign targeting the manufacturers of some products that are sold through veterinarians. These manufacturers had promised the veterinary community that they would only sell their products through veterinarians who had a doctor-patient relationship with the person buying the product. However, these products were turning up in online pharmacies, and in stores, contrary to what these manufacturers had promised us.This campaign was an attempt to hold these corporations to their word. .....(continued click here)
